Community Bank Honored with Crystal Award
Bank recognized for production of Annual Report
Community Bank of Parkersburg received a Crystal Award from the West Virginia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America for the bank’s development of its 2004 Annual Report, which used a mock matchbook design to reinforce the bank’s cutting-edge, common sense brand.
The award reflects an outstanding public relations project in an annual report and serves as public recognition by fellow public relations practitioners. The Crystal Award was presented at PRSA’s annual award gala in Charleston.
The 2004 Annual Report was produced to illustrate Community Bank’s achievements, while building on the brand’s positioning as the bank for people seeking a common sense approach to banking, while providing cutting-edge technology. Each section of the report featured photographs of the bank’s leadership teams, along with text demonstrating how the brand message permeated into all aspects of the bank’s performance and operations. The bound pages of the report were inserted into a mock matchbook cover to add interest and create a conversation piece among recipients.
"We are proud to receive this special honor for developing an outstanding publication that is a crucial component of our strategic public relations program,” said Community Bank President and CEO Randall Snider. “We were able to develop a look and feel that accurately portrays our unique approach to banking.”
The 2004 Annual Report was distributed to approximately 250 bank shareholders to share financial information, as well as detail the year’s activities, innovations and accomplishments.
The Arnold Agency, a Charleston-based, full-service communications company, produced the 2004 Annual Report for the bank.
