Monkey Bread

3 12 oz. pkgs of refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough
3 cups white sugar
6 tsp ground cinnamon
1 stick butter or margarine

Optional –

½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup raisins

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease one 9 or 10 inch bundt  or tube pan.  Melt butter in sauce pan over low heat.  While waiting for the butter to melt, mix white sugar and cinnamon in plastic bag.

Cut biscuits into quarters an drop 6 to 8 pieces in the melted butter, coating them thoroughly.  Move the butter covered biscuits into the cinnamon/sugar bag.  Shake, covering the pieces completely.

Arrange in bottom of the pan, creating layers.  Repeat until all the biscuits are coated with butter, cinnamon and sugar and are layered in pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a plate. Let cool on plate for 5-10 minutes, and lift pan straight up.
