Community Bank of Parkersburg, located in Parkersburg, West Virginia, is currently seeking a Director of Lending, who will report directly to the President and the CEO. This individual will be looked upon to lead and direct the strategic lending plan for the bank. A successful candidate will have a history of demonstrated success in lending, a strategic mindset, excellent leadership and communication skills, and possess a team approach to the bank’s day to day lending and collections operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages the Bank’s lending team, including recruitment, hiring and development.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership of the bank in identifying and implementing lending strategies to increase profitable, sustainable growth of the bank’s mortgage and commercial lending.
  • Maintain strong asset quality of the bank, ensuring regulatory compliance via collaboration with internal compliance and successful safety and soundness exams.
  • Monitor ongoing portfolio performance and growth, including Board reporting.
  • Leads the lender’s credit structuring, pricing, and risk decision process.
  • Responsible for generating new business development relationships and commercial loan volume for the Bank.
  • Effectively operate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, creating the long-term strategies and organizational alignment around these strategies to ensure the bank’s success.
  • Participate in continual process and technology improvements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary in order to meet the bank’s goals and objectives.

Minimum Education

  • BS/BA in Business Administration and/or Finance from four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of Graduate School of Banking is desirable.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of banking experience, including mortgage and commercial lending/services strongly preferred.
  • Prior management experience.
